Frequently Asked Questions

Which airport should I fly into, and how do airport transfers work?

Upon arrival on Day One, you’ll be personally welcomed at the airport by the Gardners—your friendly local hosts and guides—and driven directly to our family ranch outside Centerville. On Day Seven, we'll drive you to your departure airport to ensure plenty of time for check-in.

Our closest arrival airport for Centerville is Houston (IAH) at 103 miles (approx. 1h 30m – 1h 55m), though you can also arrive via Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) at 155 miles (approx. 2h 12m – 2h 45m). Because the tour concludes in the Hill Country, departing flights are convenient from Austin (AUS) (156 miles from Centerville, approx. 2h 36m – 3h). Roundtrip flights into a single airport can also be accommodated seamlessly. All airport transfers and daily ground transportation are completely included.

Is prior experience required for horseback riding, ATVs, or shooting?

No prior experience is necessary! Whether you are a seasoned outdoorsman or trying these activities for the first time, our professional local hosts provide all equipment, safety gear, and thorough instruction. Every activity—from riding 4-wheelers and horses to target shooting and farm work—is adapted safely to your comfort and skill level.

Do you host out-of-state and international travelers?

Absolutely! Having hosted travelers from across the United States and over 25 countries, we specialize in showing guests the real Texas. From rural ranch life to Hill Country dance halls and historic landmarks, our private chauffeured transportation, boutique BnB stays, and dedicated hosts ensure a welcoming, genuine Lone Star experience from start to finish.
