On this Big Texas Hog Hunt, the adventure will begin at the historic Gardner Farm & Ranch in Centerville, TX. From the moment you arrive on the property to the day you depart, every detail is seamlessly taken care of by us, the Gardners—including your private BnB lodging, local ranch transportation, fully guided hunts, home-cooked and steakhouse meals, high-end hunting gear, and unforgettable experiences.
Best of all, your hunt is 100% private and exclusive to your group. You will never share the ranch, the BnB, or your guides with outside hunters or strangers. All we ask is that you kick back, soak it all in, and get ready for a Texas-sized adventure. (Note: Private airport shuttle add-on available upon request during booking).

Our family has worked and cared for this land since the mid-1800s, passing down nearly two centuries of Texas farming and ranching heritage. Unlike commercial outfitters running "canned" hunts inside high-fenced enclosures, we offer an authentic, fair-chase hunting adventure across our open 575-acre family ranch and an additional 200-acre plot of timber and pastureland.
Unlimited Hogs, Zero Hidden Fees: Invasive wild hogs are a major pest in Texas, and our goal is to help control their population. On your hunt, there are no kill limits, no weight limits, and zero "pay-per-pound" or trophy fees. Any hog you shoot is 100% included in your hunt’s price.
Because our property remains wide-open and unfenced, wild game moves freely and naturally—meaning we do not guarantee a kill. What we do guarantee is an action-packed hunting experience utilizing top-of-the-line equipment paired with world-class hospitality. Whether tracking hogs under the stars with state-of-the-art thermal scopes, scanning movement from elevated stands at sunrise, or utilizing aerial drone reconnaissance, you'll experience the true thrill of the hunt in the heart of Texas.

Transportation & Time on the Road
On all of our Texas Tours, you'll travel in comfort in a private vehicle reserved just for your group—no strangers, no crowded shuttles. Vehicles are spacious, clean, and equipped to handle gear and luggage comfortably. Your pace is our pace. Whether pulling over at a legendary roadside BBQ joint, grabbing cold drinks at a local general store, or snapping photos of wildlife across the ranch, we make sure the journey between the ranch, local town spots, and hunting fields is smooth and enjoyable.
Accommodations: Gardner Farm & Ranch BnB
During your time in Centerville, you'll stay right at home with us on our family's historical working farm and ranch—an authentic Texas experience wrapped in warm hospitality. Our home has been thoughtfully designed to welcome guests, serving as both a cozy bed and breakfast and a gathering place for family and friends. You'll find all the charm of country living here: a front porch made for watching the sunrise, a back porch for gathering around the fire pit, antique furnishings, and the comforting aroma of fresh-brewed coffee each morning.
Our home comfortably accommodates up to four guests across two distinct, private guest suites:
- The Texas Suite: Features a spacious King-size bed.
- The Cuba Suite: Features a plush Queen-size bed.
Note on Bed Configuration: With two private rooms and two total beds, our BnB is ideally suited for two solo travelers, couples, family members, or close friends comfortable sharing a bed. If your group of three or four requires separate sleeping arrangements, please reach out to us prior to booking so we can best accommodate your group.

Home-Cooked Meals at the BnB
One of the highlights of your tour is gathering around the family table for home-cooked country meals prepared by your hosts, Colby & Josie. Mornings feature hearty, rotating Texas-style favorites like classic eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, and Tex-Mex breakfast tacos served with fresh fruit and hot coffee. Included home-cooked dinners feature generous portions of Texas-style cuisine, such as bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin or ribeye steak paired with signature mashed potatoes, green vegetables, and homemade cobbler. These meals are generous and meant to feel like home. Note: Please let us know ahead of time if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions so we can accommodate your needs.
Safety Briefing & Gear Orientation
Safety is our top priority at Gardner Tours. Upon arrival on Day One, we conduct a dedicated range session to review firearm handling, run through field protocols, and calibrate gear so you feel completely prepared before stepping into the field.
Rifles, High-End Scopes, & Ammo Provided
To make your hunting trip hassle-free, we supply top-tier hunting rifles fitted with state-of-the-art thermal optics, standard daytime scopes, and all necessary ammunition. You don't have to worry about flying with firearms or gear unless you prefer to bring your own.
Dynamic Hunting & Shooting Techniques
Depending on the time of day, weather, and animal movement, your hunts will combine multiple methods to maximize your experience:
- Thermal Spot & Stalk: Tracking invasive wild hogs after dark using high-end heat-signature optics.
- Drone Reconnaissance: Utilizing aerial thermal scouting to locate sounders in open fields before planning a ground stalk.
- Elevated Blind & Stand Hunting: Positioned along prime timber corridors and feeding routes during sunrise and dusk transitions.
- Specialty Options: Hands-on hunting with trained dogs or partner helicopter aerial hunts can be arranged upon request.

Game Field Prep & Cold Storage
When you harvest an animal on the ranch, complimentary field dressing, skinning, and quartering are 100% included at no extra charge if you plan to keep the meat. Once harvested, you have three flexible options for your game:
- Leave in the Field: If you prefer not to keep the meat, we can leave the harvest in nature to let natural Texas wildlife and ecosystem cycles take care of the rest.
- Donate to Locals: If you don't wish to take the meat home but want it utilized, we are happy to give the unprocessed hog to locals who enjoy wild pork.
- Take It Home: Our guide team will field dress, skin, and quarter your harvest, immediately placing the meat into cold storage on the ranch to keep it fresh. When you're ready to head home, we can pack it for travel using our Game Meat Travel Package (details below).
Meat Processing & Shipping
Commercial meat processing (custom sausage, specialty cuts, etc.) and shipping charges are not included with your hunt. However, if you choose to take wild game meat home with you, we offer a turnkey Game Meat Travel Package for $150 per cooler.
- Advance Booking & Risk-Free Guarantee: To ensure supplies (coolers, vacuum bags, dry ice) are fully stocked for your hunt, Travel Packages must be purchased in advance during booking. If no hog is harvested during your trip, you will receive a 100% full refund for this add-on, no questions asked.
- What’s Included: We vacuum-seal up to 30 lbs of fresh meat, pack it with dry ice, and secure it inside a heavy-duty, airline-ready cooler for your flight or drive home.
- Why 30 lbs? Capping meat at 30 lbs ensures the fully packed cooler stays under standard 50 lb airline checked baggage limits, avoiding costly overweight baggage fees. (Local guests can also use this package to easily transport chilled meat to a local processor near their home!).
- Extra Meat: If you harvest additional meat over 30 lbs, an additional $150 Travel Package can be added on-site for a second fully packed cooler.
Note: Guests are responsible for any airline checked baggage fees or direct shipping charges.
4-Wheeler / ATV Ranch Exploration
Between hunts, hop on an ATV for a guided ride across the open pastures, shaded timber trails, and rolling countryside of the Gardner Farm & Ranch. It’s a fun, hands-on way to explore the 575-acre property, check game movement, spot wildlife, and take in the wide Texas sky. Basic instruction and safety gear are provided before heading out.
Departure Day
As your unforgettable Big Texas Hog Hunt comes to a close, enjoy your final early morning hunt and farewell breakfast before packing up. Standard check-out is by 12:00 PM noon. When it's time to hit the road, we'll make sure your meat, gear, and bags are packed securely so you can head home with ease.
